Select Saunas vs SaunaKits.com (formerly Nordica Sauna): Which Should You Choose?

If you have been researching a home sauna over the past year, you have almost certainly run into two names: Select Saunas and Nordica Sauna. In May 2026 Nordica Sauna rebranded to SaunaKits.com, so many shoppers now land on an unfamiliar site and wonder whether it is the same company and whether it is still a good place to buy.

This guide clears that up. It compares what each retailer offers today, where they differ, and who each one fits best. Every claim below was checked against the live SaunaKits.com site and our own policy pages on 5 November 2026; if you spot something that has changed since, email us and we will correct it.

Disclosure: this comparison is written and published by Select Saunas. We have tried to be fair, and we link to the SaunaKits.com pages we checked so you can verify for yourself.

SaunaKits.com (Nordica Sauna) vs Select Saunas: the quick overview

Both are US-based online sauna retailers selling traditional, infrared, barrel, indoor and outdoor saunas from recognized manufacturers, and both now offer HSA/FSA payment through Truemed. The real differences are catalog philosophy, return terms, and whether you want a physical showroom. SaunaKits.com is built as a large-catalog marketplace with a showroom near Greenville, South Carolina. Select Saunas runs a hand-picked lineup with a published price-match guarantee and one-to-one guidance by phone, email and chat.

For most buyers comparing the two head to head, the deciding factors are the return terms, whether you want to see a sauna in person before buying, and how much guidance you want during the decision.

Select Saunas overview

Select Saunas is an online sauna retailer built around a curated selection and high-touch service. Rather than listing everything available, we hand-pick saunas and heaters from manufacturers we are authorized dealers for, including Almost Heaven Saunas, Harvia, HUUM, Dundalk LeisureCraft, SaunaLife, Auroom, Finnmark Designs, Dynamic Saunas and Maxxus, spanning traditional, infrared, barrel, indoor and outdoor models.

• Price-match guarantee. Find the same sauna cheaper at an authorized online retailer and we match it. Terms are on our price-match page.
• HSA/FSA eligible at checkout. Through Truemed, qualifying buyers with a Letter of Medical Necessity can use pre-tax HSA or FSA dollars on their sauna. SaunaKits.com offers the same, so this is no longer a differentiator between the two retailers.
• 30-day returns with brand-specific terms. You can return most products within 30 days of receipt. A 5% processing fee applies, shipping is not refunded, and some brands carry a 20% restocking fee. Dundalk LeisureCraft products cannot be returned. The full terms are in our refund policy. We state this plainly because freight returns on a sauna are expensive, and we would rather help you choose right the first time.
• Specialist guidance. Customer reviews repeatedly name the same specialists and credit them for help before and after purchase. For a purchase that involves electrical work, foundations and freight delivery, that hands-on help matters.
• Free shipping and free gifts. Free shipping on most orders to the contiguous US, and a free gift with sauna orders.

Who Select Saunas is not for

Select Saunas runs a curated catalog, not an everything-store. If you want to scroll through thousands of SKUs and obscure brands on your own, the focused lineup may feel narrow. We are online-first, so if walking into a physical showroom before buying is non-negotiable, that is a real advantage SaunaKits.com has for buyers near Greenville, South Carolina.

SaunaKits.com (Nordica Sauna) overview

Nordica Sauna rebranded to SaunaKits.com in May 2026. The company is based in the Greenville, South Carolina area and built a strong reputation under the Nordica name, including high Trustpilot ratings among sauna retailers. The rebrand positions it as a larger platform carrying brands such as HUUM, Harvia, SaunaLife, Auroom, Golden Designs and Finnmark Designs.

• Large catalog. One of the broader selections online, which suits shoppers who already know what they want and prefer to self-navigate.
• Established reputation. The review track record built under Nordica Sauna carries into the new brand.
• Showroom now open. SaunaKits.com operates a showroom at 107 Hurricane Creek Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673, just off I-85, with indoor and outdoor saunas, heaters and building materials on display. Posted hours are Tuesday to Friday 12 to 5 PM, with Monday and Saturday by appointment (showroom page).
• HSA/FSA via Truemed. Like Select Saunas, SaunaKits.com lets qualifying buyers pay with HSA/FSA funds through Truemed with a Letter of Medical Necessity.

Who SaunaKits.com is not for

The rebrand is recent, so the SaunaKits.com name is still establishing itself. A very large catalog is helpful if you enjoy research, but it can work against you when you want a vetted shortlist. On returns, SaunaKits.com applies a 25% restocking fee to all returns and the buyer pays return freight, with sale and built-to-order items final sale; Select Saunas charges no restocking fee on several brands (Auroom, Harvia, HUUM, SaunaLife, Finnmark, KOLO, Kohler, Haljas) and 20% on others, though shipping is not refunded by either retailer. Shipping at SaunaKits.com is also priced per product rather than free on most orders.

Which one should you choose?

Both are legitimate retailers carrying quality brands, so you are not choosing between good and bad. You are choosing between two models.

Pick SaunaKits.com if you want the widest possible catalog to browse independently, or you are within driving distance of Greenville, SC and want to sit in a sauna before you buy.

Pick Select Saunas if you want a curated, vetted selection instead of an endless list, a named specialist to help you size the heater, plan the electrical work and prepare for freight delivery, a written price-match guarantee, free shipping on most orders, and lower restocking fees on several major brands.

For most home buyers making a significant one-time purchase, that combination of curation, guidance and price protection is what turns a stressful decision into an easy one.
